'A STEP Towards Mindfulness' is a four hour Free introductory workshop spread across 2 days to inculcate an awareness of present experiences with a sense of calmness & acceptance.

  • In patients with gliomas, depression is a common complication that may cause severe psychological barriers and deteriorate the patient’s quality of life (QoL). 

  • One in five patients developed clinical depression after the diagnosis of glioma, with major depressive symptoms lasting at least three months

  • Among patients with high-grade gliomas, 46% had depression-related symptoms, while 26.7% were diagnosed with depression

  • Patients with gliomas have a higher incidence of depression after diagnosis

About Farah Millwala

This workshop is conducted by Farah Millwala from @loop.mindfulness.
Farah will guide members through participatory activities which will include guided meditation practices, mindful movement, self awareness exercises, knowledge about anxiety and breadth work strategies.

Farah Millwala has been conducting workshops for over a decade in the health & educational sectors. She has received training in Mindfulness For Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Resilience.  She believes that Mindfulness can greatly improve one's quality of life and is the pathway to greater peace. ♾

When will I receive the Zoom link?

We will share the Zoom details over email/WhatsApp on October 21st after the deadline to register. 

There is limited capacity in this workshop so incase we have additional registrations, we will only be able to include those who register first. 

Will I receive a participation certificate?

Yes! Please note that in order to receive the participation certificate you will need to attend the full 4-hour workshop (2 hours on 22nd and 2 hours on 29th October, 2022)
